The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation was founded in the 1950’s and was incorporated as a 501©(3) non profit organization in 1976. We work to help improve the lives of the members of the bleeding disorders community through educational programs, guidance, and support.
The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation will lead the way in Western Pennsylvania in enriching the lives of those living with hemophilia and other coagulation disorders.
We will be, and be known as, a helping, caring organization offering hope, guidance and education to patient and family.
We will increase awareness among appropriate audiences in order to meet the needs of the bleeding disorder patients and families.
We will contribute to the treatment of bleeding disorders as well as to the treatment of secondary health-related issues.
We will support research of improved treatment and the eventual cure of bleeding disorders.
We will achieve our goals by attracting the people and financial resources to do so.
